The average phone call is now 50% shorter than it was 5 years ago which indicates a staggering change in the way we communicate. It’s true that in addition to the old fashioned corded phone conversation, we now have a plethora of channels by which we can catch up with our loved ones or manage business relationships and so on. Whether it’s sending a message on Facebook, texting, Skyping via WIFI, using a spot of FaceTime, or swapping a cheeky SnapChat – we simply don’t communicate in the same way anymore, in fact face-to-face communication across the world has reduced by almost 10% in the last four years.
